4.4.3.1. Add the device using the configuration wizard.
|

A one week trial account is available free of charge.
You can exit the wizard after step 4 If you use RevGeoGate only.

Gather the following information :

IMEI Number can be located on the packaging box or behind the battery of the phone.

Serial Number can be located on the packaging box or behind the battery of the phone.

4.4.3.2. Access the control panel.
|
Click on the yellow gear to access the controlpanel. |

Select the EC 7000 in the list of available devices. |

Choose an appropriate name for your device
Enter the IMEI number of the device
Enter the serial number of the device
When finished click next step to proceed to the next screen.

Or retrieve an already configured device if you want to change the configuration. |

4.4.3.6. Step 3: RevGeoGate and telephone settings.
|
|
These settings will be retrieved automaticly after you have activated the RevGeoGate service. This is an overview of your RevGeoGate account.
The language dropdown will change the language of the text SMS send to the SOS SMS numbers configured in your mobile.
If you don’t want to automatically renew your subscription then you can turn the “automatic renewal” radio button off. RevGeoGate will parse your requests untill the “subscription stop” date is reached.
Some functions and configuration settings of the EC 7000 require text SMS to be send to the device. You can purchase additional SMS credits if you click the “Buy SMS Credits”. Copy your IMEI number in the remarks field of the purchase order.
RevGeoGate Worldwide users can check their remaining SMS credits here RevGeoGate users can use this link to retrieve the position of your device on a Graphical phone, an Internet connection is required to use this functionality.

4.4.3.7. Step 4: Sim card details.
|

These settings will be retrieved automatically after you have activated the RevGeoGate service.
Otherwise enter the mobile number of the EC 7000 here.
Select your network operator to setup the SMS connection correctly.
The APN settings are informational and will only be send to the device if you give your approval to send messages to your device by SMS.
See Your SMS approval is required to communicate with your device by SMS. You can buy additional credits if you click the “Buy SMS Credits” link. This is not necessary If you only want to use RevGeoGate text SMS only. You can exit the configuration wizard here.

In the next steps the EC 7000 will be automatically configured and connected against our tracking platform

4.4.3.8. Step 5: Setup remote control number.
|

This manual action has to be followed carefully, it allow us to communicate with the EC 7000 by SMS. |

4.4.3.9. Step 6: Configuration by SMS.
|
|
Configuration SMS will be send your device.
This step can take several minutes, depending on the speed of the mobile operator. The configuration will only be successful if all 4 items are “configured”. You don’t have to do anything except to wait until the device is connected.

4.4.3.10. Step 7 : Configuration with wireless connection.

Changes made by this page will be send over by GPRS to the EC 7000 device. Changes that are made in the menu structure of the EC 7000 will not be send back to the platform |

You can enable/disable man down remotely. the filtering delay is the time that the event should be activated before launching an event.
The time that the pre-alarm sounds before the actual alarm starts.
Track and trace mode for location updates min value is 2 minutes.

4.4.3.11. Step 8 : Emergency Call handling.
|

NOTE: Preferably setup numbers in International format. +32.........
Define on how the emergency call should be handled. (See chapter 4.4.4)
Enter up to three numbers to call in case of an emergency.
Automatic call answering with hands free activated.
Enter up to three mobile numbers that will receive the location SMS.
Enter the telephone numbers that should be on speed dial (M1/M2/M3)

4.4.3.12. Step 9 : Setting up a geo fence.
|
|
The center of the map will be the center of your geo fence. You can drag the map until it is positioned correctly. The minimum radius is 200 m.
Press Set to see the actual geo fence on the map. When finished press save to save the geo fence.

Congratulations you have successfully configured your device.
The next thing to do is to change the text tags and icons for the events that the device generates in case of an alarm. |

Click on the green globe to see the current location of your devices.
Select your device by clicking on the icon in the menu bar, map or list.
Click on the SOS acknowledge button to acknowledge the alarm digitally.
